Development and testing of GalSim galaxy simulation code.
Fully-supported release of preliminary GalSim code within collaboration to begin testing and validation.
Gathering of galaxy data and information for finalizing the challenge design.
2 month alpha release period, with the release of some of the challenge data. The beginning of this period coincided with the Challenge Kickoff Meeting, which was held August 20-22, 2013, at the Infrared Analysis & Processing Center in Pasadena, CA.
Release of half of the simulations (now available here), which begins a 6-month time period for the challenge. This release was followed very shortly by the release of GalSim v1.0.
Release of the remainder of the simulation.
